Welcome

Hello dear reader! My mission is to link arms with widows, widowers, and the community of people who love them. I know there are so many reasons why you might be here. Perhaps you’ve lost a spouse and are seeking any and all resources, help, community, and hope you can find. Maybe your friend or family member is someone who has lost a spouse and don’t know what to do or say. You may be grieving another type of hard loss. Whatever reason you’re here, I’m glad that you are. As I type this, I pray that this blog would bring some hope to weary souls, help people feel seen and known, and encourage others to gain empathy and support others well. Not because I have all the answers (I most certainly do not), but because I simply have my own story and a calling to share it. Not to bring myself glory, but to show the power of the One who has been sustaining me.

I waited patiently for the Lord;
    he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
    out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
    and gave me a firm place to stand.
 He put a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
    and put their trust in him.
